Hi! I'm Rebekah, mom of four, homeschooler, midwife, photographer, reader, coffee-lover, blogger, housekeeper, gardener, chauffeur, crafter, friend. Of all the hats I wear in my life, the most important ones to me are wife, mom, daughter, and friend. My tribe means the world to me and I do the other things in my life for and because of them.
I have always loved photography. I was always the friend with the camera and I was taking selfies before selfies were a thing. I love capturing a moment that makes me smile, makes me stop and appreciate the little things, or that makes me realize how much I love the people around me. The little people who live with me and who keep getting bigger only made me appreciate photography more and in an effort to try to make their childhood SLOW DOWN, I have upped my skills in photography and videography. |
I love having pictures to capture their goofy expressions, their sprinkle of freckles, and their little dimpled hands. I also love videos so I can hear their childhood voices, raucous laughs, and watch all the phases their actions go through. Each one has it's place as I try to capture this fleeting time in our family so that we have these memories preserved forever. Both for me and for them--and for the future generations.
And my kids love to watch themselves on the screen! We watch our family films over and over. They relive vacations with their cousins, birthday parties, and family traditions. They can't believe I wasn't able to document their births while I was busy laboring with them! They love to look through photo albums and see how they've changed over the years and show some of the crazier pictures to their friends. My kids haven't regretted a single image or video that was made--in fact, they wonder why I haven't made more!
